Graphic Designer / Art Director / Digital Artist
Hi! My name is Chris Gallagher
I’m a graphic designer, digital artist, and art director from Birmingham, UK. I specialise in designing cover art, merchandise, and branding packages for artists, clothing brands, and other entities within the music industry. Having worked under the alias “Misery Take Me” for over 4 years, I’ve produced hundreds of projects for my incredible clientele.
I pride myself on my quality control and keen eye for the minute details of any aesthetic. As an art director I possess the abilities to both focus on small and fine details of a project, whilst being able to step back and view the project as a whole; and consider every projects position within a larger brand and it’s context within its marketplace.
About my work
A great deal of my work draws inspiration from horror, metal, punk, and gothic aesthetics. I have a love for the abstract; blurs, glows obscured faces, and how they interact with grit, grain, and other textures. Breaking trends and traditions and re-integrating them with modern design is where I thrive; spinning my own unique nostalgic and distressed twist on contemporary pieces.
I find a deep satisfaction in creating both bespoke and individual pieces as well as wider scope collections; curating and shaping these into well thought out and cohesive projects that feel high quality and premium; I’d love to create something amazing for you.
